UVBG members have a great history of producing award winning beers and wines. Unfortunately, most of these awards were not documented in our web site…time to change that! Here’s the winners from the recent past and we’ll keep trying to dig up some documentation on awards received in the earlier years of the club.
2024 Spring Fling: Competition was hosted by Central Oregon Home Brewers – COHO with 289 total entries over multiple categories. The judges found Hiroshi’s Nickel Mine Porter to be worthy of first place in the American Porter and Stout category.
Hiroshi also garnered a 2nd place award in the Amber and Brown Ale category for his Mt. Nebo Brown Ale.

2023 Douglas County Fair: Robert Rochambeau – 1st place Amber beer, Hiroshi Oki – Judges Choice Ribbon, Robin Oki – 2nd & 3rd place for her wine & mead entries
2023 KLCC Home Brew Competition: Hiroshi Oki, 2nd place Bobby-Dazzler American Stout and 3rd place Heavens to Betsy American Amber Ale
